EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing - is based in Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT) and helps one to more easily and more deeply find the source of anxiety, shame, grief, anger, or other emotional distress. This then allows us to make changes in the way we may be reacting or thinking that are actually keeping us stuck. For example you may find you are repeating patterns based on what someone else told you that you now realize are no longer true for you.


Through EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, and other treatments we learn how to recognize and work with our emotions such as anxiety, depression, grief, anger, shame, fear,..so that they do not overwhelm us.
