breathe…no really!!
Argh..more stress…anxiety…overwhelmed…what ever you call it…what to do with it? Lets first breathe, no really, and slower, and deeper. Breathe in and then, this is crucial, breathe out slower …calming slower. This physiologically will help…its using our natural body and what our body knows automatically to slow us down. We have the fast breathing and revving up so that we can run or protect if we need, but if we do not need that much energy, if we are actually safe, …breathe….slower. This is the first, most crucial skill to practice to help. Then we can think more clearly. It may take one minute. It may take 10 minutes. If you use this a lot when you are tense or stressed, if you get practice, your body will respond faster. I so wish I was with you now to show you and encourage you. It is sooooo helpful. There are more things to come but this is #1.
